FAQ

Proof of full COVID vaccination or negative PCR test + ID is currently required for entry at Tomo. This decision was made with staff safety and community solidarity in mind and follows King County’s mandate. We will continue to monitor public health guidelines and will make adjustments to our policy accordingly.  

We require all guests to wear masks when inside of the restaurant and not actively eating or drinking. Please wear your mask when engaging with staff and moving around the restaurant. 

Additional COVID Notes:
+Tomo's space was remodeled in the summer of 2021 with the intention of reducing the risk of COVID indoors. We referenced King County's Guide to Improving Indoor Air Quality and continue to implement their strategies.
+100% of our staff are vaccinated and most are or will be boosted by the end of January 2022. Staff are required to wear N95 masks at all times.
+We have moved to a 'low touch' service model - we will continue to provide exceptional food and beverage but will not linger at your table any longer than necessary. We ask that guests pour their own water and wine for now.

We’re a reservations–only restaurant—with the exception of our 6–seat bar, which is first come, first served.

We do not have a to go menu or offer tasting menus to go. 

Reservations go live on the 1st of each month for the following month at 10 am PST. February 2022 bookings become available January 1. 


Our reservations (through Tock) require a per–guest, non–refundable deposit. We’re a small restaurant, and planning efficiently for your experience as well as paying a fair wage to our team are among our top priorities.
︎︎︎ For lunch reservations, the deposit is $25 per guest.
︎︎︎ For dinner reservations, it’s $78 per guest, plus a 20% service charge and applicable tax.
︎︎︎ This prepaid deposit will be deducted from your final bill. 

Reservations must be cancelled at least 4 calendar days in advance of your reservation date to receive a full refund.
Cancellations fewer than 4 days prior to your reservation date are non-refundable. Dining IS an event, similar to a football game or concert. 
We are strict about our cancellation policies. 

All reservations are fully transferable. You can give your reservation to another party of the same size. 

A 20% service charge will be applied to all food and beverage consumed at Tomo and is fully retained by the restaurant. Additional gratuity is not expected. 

Simply put, we carry the wines we love to drink and share with our friends. Each wine on our list is made in small quantities by dedicated, responsible, fundamentally cool people; and each and every one was chosen to uniquely complement our food.

That said, if you’d like to bring your own wine to Tomo, please note there is a corkage fee of $50 per 750ml bottle ($75 per magnum). We ask that you limit the number of bottles you bring to 2 per reservation. Corkage is limited to bottles that are not currently on our wine list. 

Currently, the best way to give the gift of Tomo is to purchase a Tock gift card (here) and tell your recipient to navigate to our business page (here) where they can make a reservation and pay for it with the gift card. Stay tuned for more personalized GC offerings in the future. 
Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions using the 'notes' section at the time of booking. Allergies or aversions to soy, salt, sugar, and seaweed cannot be accommodated at this time. Our menus our created daily and same-day accomodation requests may not be possible due to the availability of ingredients.

We don’t believe in dress codes. We do, however, encourage you to wear clothes. 

We love children, but don’t offer a kids’ menu. Children at dinner will be charged the full price of our set menu. If the children in your party are adventurous eaters, we look forward to serving them. 

We encourage the use of public transportation and ride share apps. White Center also offers ample, free street parking along 16th Avenue in front of the restaurant and on the adjacent streets.
